Creativity Pioneers Fund 2024

Kuma International is proud to announce that it has been selected as one of 50 organizations worldwide to receive support from the 2024 Creativity Pioneers Fund, chosen from more than 2,100 applications across 136 countries.

Organized by the Moleskine Foundation and launched in 2021, the Creativity Pioneers Fund supports cultural and creative organizations developing innovative and socially engaged responses to contemporary global challenges through art, culture, education, and community-based practices.

The 2024 cohort brings together organizations from across the world — from Rwanda to Norway, South Africa to Argentina — working in diverse contexts while using creativity as a tool for social transformation, dialogue, and collective resilience.

At Kuma International, we explore the long-term impact of war, genocide, displacement, and trauma through artistic and educational practices. Through workshops, research projects, summer schools, exhibitions, and international collaborations, Kuma brings together artists, survivors, former refugees, students, and researchers to foster dialogue, critical reflection, reconciliation, and cultures of peace.

Being selected as part of the Creativity Pioneers Fund marks an important recognition of Kuma’s work and its growing international network, while creating new opportunities for exchange, collaboration, and long-term development alongside organizations working at the intersection of art and social change worldwide.
