Youth Exchange between Italy and BiH

As this year slowly comes to an end, we are grateful to have closed it by working again with Italian and Bosnian youth, thanks to a project organized by UNFPA with support from the Italian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Kuma International was honored to be one of the implementing partners, curating a journey of connection, creativity, and fresh perspectives on peace and reconciliation between the cities of Sarajevo and Udine.

This incredible experience brought together 32 bright and talented young participants from both countries. It was inspiring to hear their ideas and visions for a better society. We had the pleasure of hosting them in Sarajevo, showing them around Udine, and inviting friends and colleagues from BiH and Italy to share knowledge about art, history, and culture from both countries.

A huge thank you to the great team at UNFPA and the Italian Embassy in BiH for trusting us with this meaningful project. We are also deeply grateful to all people who shared the open call, helped us assemble such a fantastic group of participants, and offered invaluable tips—especially for the trip to Udine.

Last but not least, our deepest gratitude goes to our amazing friends, colleagues and institutions who generously shared their time, knowledge, and experiences with us: Adela Kusur, Rémy Ourdan, Aida Šehović, Lejla Odobašić Novo, Haris and Ferida Abdagić, the War Childhood Museum and Gallery Manifesto in Sarajevo, Francesca Cristin, Gian Franco Ellero, Bottega Errante and Stamperia Art Albicocco in Udine.
