The second iteration of Radio Elsewheres [re.02], conceptualized and curated by Velibor Božović, artist/musician Steve Bates, art historian Claudia Zini, and curator Adna Muslija, took place from June 7 to June 28, 2024. The program was broadcast live from our studio at Kuma International in Sarajevo, in conjunction with Velibor’s exhibition at Manifesto Gallery, as well as online via the radio’s official website.
Over three weeks of creativity and connection, we welcomed incredible guests from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, and beyond – including artists, musicians, writers, DJs, and activists – who shared their stories, music, and ideas. Our studio became a hub for dialogue, connection, and creative expression, while two live events organized by Gallery Manifesto enriched the program further.
Highlights included a special 24-hour segment dedicated to Palestine and a live recording from the 5th Pride March held in Sarajevo. We extend our gratitude to friends and colleagues worldwide who contributed their works, and to everyone who tuned in and participated in this unique project.
Radio Elsewheres exemplifies how accessible technology can serve as a democratic tool to connect people – to listen, converse, share, and ultimately care for one another. 💛
The archive of [re.02] can be found here, while the third edition [re.03] is scheduled for 2025 at Art Windsor-Essex in Windsor, Canada.
A heartfelt thank you to our partners at Manifesto Gallery, all our guests, friends, and colleagues who made this project possible. Special thanks to our volunteers and social media team for their incredible contributions, with love from Kuma.
