Architectural heritage of Zenica

Walking tour and exhibition opening

“Modernist Utopia. Architectural Heritage of Zenica” is dedicated to the modernist architecture movement in the Bosnian city of Zenica which was a symbol of Yugoslav industrialization and progress. Zenica experienced a tremendous urban expansion with many notable Yugosalv architects including Juraj Neidhardt, Edvard Ravnikar, Jahiel Finci, Zlatko Ugljen, Slobodan Jovandić and Karlo Kužatko contributing to the city’s rich architectural repertoire. 

The exhibition will open on October 29 at 18:00 at the Bosnian National Theatre in Zenica. 

Free transport will be provided for all friends wishing to join us in Zenica. There will also be a walking tour of Zenica’s modernist heritage on the same day starting at 15:00.

The project was realized by Selver Učanbarlić and Dino Jozić in collaboration with Lejla Odobašić Novo and in partnership with Bosnian National Theatre Zenica, Manifesto, Docomomo BH, Association of Architects in BiH, Azimuth and Ideologija.
