    “Unfolding Sarajevo”

Kuma International’s first publication Unfolding Sarajevo is a record and extension of the research architects and academics presented during the first edition of Kuma International Architecture Week in 2019.

It explores the city’s different historical layers as manifested through its architecture, but at the time, it takes a critical look at its present-day condition from an architectural standpoint.

Edited by Lejla Odobašić Novo and Claudia Zini, it was published by Buybook (Sarajevo/Zagreb) in 2020 thanks to the generous support of Open Society Fund BiH.

Unfolding Sarajevo features the Kuma International Architecture Week photo journal with texts by Hannah Fillmore-Patrick and photographs by Alice Deledda, reflections on architectural discourse by Emina Arapčić, Boris Trapara, Sanja Zadro, Lejla Gačanica, Lorenzo Pignatti, Sabina Tanović and Igor Kuvač, photographs by Paul Lowe accompanied by an essay by Val William, architectural projects by AHAKNAP, Fima d.o.o., Normal Arhitektura, Project V Architecture and the work of Dani Arhitekture.

Critical rewiev: Architect Nerma Prnjavorac Cridge from Architectural Association School of Architecture London

Preface: His Excellency Nicola Minasi, Italian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Dario Kristić, president of the Association of Architects in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
