In June 2023, Kuma International organized a concert in Sarajevo in collaboration with Caritas Italiana as part of the program developed for International Refugee Day 2023. Bringing together musicians, artists, collaborators, and audiences from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Italy, the event created a space for solidarity, encounter, and collective reflection through music and performance.
The concert featured performances by Haris Abdagić and Balkaneros, Lirika Kafane, Laura Sirani, and Davide Bonetti, with a special guest appearance by Alma Abdagić. Through different musical traditions and artistic approaches, the evening reflected on themes of migration, displacement, belonging, and cultural exchange.
The event formed part of the BRAT Balkan Route – A Welcoming Transit project, financed by the Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo and implemented by IPSIA BiH, Caritas Italiana, Caritas BiH, MFS-Emmaus, Croce Rossa Italiana, and Red Cross BiH.
Kuma International is deeply grateful to all participating artists, collaborators, partners, and guests who contributed to the event, as well as to Daniele Bombardi and Federica Vivoda from Caritas Italiana for their trust and support. Special thanks also go to the Italian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Marco Di Ruzza, for attending the concert and supporting the initiative.
