In March 2026, KUMA International partnered with BridgeEast Project (Düsseldorf) to deliver Neighbourhoods. BiH × GER, an intensive week-long programme in Sarajevo bringing together artists and cultural practitioners from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Germany.
The programme explored contemporary artistic practices, memory, and cultural production in post-war contexts through a series of lectures, discussions, studio visits, and site-specific encounters. Participants engaged with the work and perspectives of Aline Cateux, Lejla Hodžić, Lejla Odobašić Novo, Aida Šehović, Nihad Kreševljaković, and Haris Šahačić, while also visiting Manifesto Gallery.
As part of the programme, participants spent a day in Srebrenica, visiting the Srebrenica Memorial Center and reflecting on the role of memory, remembrance, and artistic engagement in post-conflict societies. Alongside the organised activities, the programme created space for participants to develop and share their own artistic research and projects.
The programme was facilitated by Valeriya Boyko, Velibor Božović, and Claudia Zini, and hosted in the welcoming premises of Association Crvena in Sarajevo.

Following the Sarajevo programme, local participants Amna Hadžić, Milena Ivić, Haris Šahačić, and Denis Haračić will continue their involvement in the second phase of the project in autumn 2026, culminating in a group exhibition in Düsseldorf.
